Our Process

In 2018, DFM was asked to work with a multinational, Peru-based beauty company on the next evolution of its brand in the crowded LATAM marketplace. Over the course of a full week of workshops in Lima, our creative director and a team of three DFM creatives guided the client through emerging trends in the American and European markets, led in-depth strategic positioning brainstorms, and built a foundation for a new brand identity.

Over the next 6 months, DFM led the strategic vision and creative execution for a full brand overhaul that included brand positioning, brand and product storytelling, visual merchandising, photoshoots, and more. DFM worked closely across cultural differences to understand the unique challenges of its client and pivot the brand’s established identity toward a more modern and consumer-focused future. Diving into each of the client’s four distinct beauty categories, we created creative guidelines to ensure the future success of internal creative teams. At the end of the process, the client had entirely new positioning, visual identity, and creative guidelines tailor-made for its target customers in Peru, Argentina, Mexico, and beyond.
