Fashion Obsession: Martin Margiela

{ Wednesday, June 27, 2012 }

Last month we were swooning over Helmut Lang (click here to see that post), but this month we're drooling over the Resort 2013 collection by Maison Martin Margiela. It's perfectly minimalist in both color palette and shape - every look from the collection is a win. It fits so perfectly with our tastes in fashion, I think it's highly likely we secretly designed it ourselves. To see the full collection, click here to visit Style.com.

Photographer of the Week: Michael Graydon

{ Friday, June 22, 2012 }

We love us a fantastic photographer, and Toronto based Michael Graydon is one of our favorite new finds. His photos are rustic, romantic, and modern, with a slight vintage twist, and we really can't get enough. See the rest of his portfolio at www.michaelgraydon.ca.

Swatch The Throne

{ Thursday, June 14, 2012 }

It's no secret we love the Queen of England. We're also devoted users of Pantone - hardly a project goes by around here where we don't consult our swatch books. Imagine our delight when we discovered Pantone decided team up with Leo Burnett London to come out with a swatch book inspired by all the bright, monochromatic ensembles the Queen has worn over the years... SO. COOL. Check out the entire swatch set and our favorite Queen pantone colors below.

James Nares Brushstroke Art

{ Wednesday, June 06, 2012 }

Flipping through a recent issue of InStyle, an article about British painter James Nares caught our eye. We've been working with calligraphy and brushstrokes for a client of ours, and his work looks very similar to a lot of the inspirational photos we've been pulling. Most of Nares' canvases measure at least 7 feet across and start at $65,000 (wow), but Coach was quick to jump on the Nares bandwagon and is offering a limited edition tote bag (175 pieces per color) featuring the signature brushstroke for about $800 a pop. We like!
